Rangiroa – Activities and excursions

 

Moana Breeze Eco Lodge, is located in Tiputa, the most preserved side of Rangiroa , with its long walks along the Ocean, the beautiful beaches, the dolphins playing in the pass and the long, almost car-free ocean trails, to be safely explored by bike.

Staying in Tiputa means taking advantage from the liveliness of Rangiroa while enjoying the calm and welcoming atmosphere of this authentic Tuamotu village.
Many activities are offered by the different providers: Ile aux Récifes, Blue Lagon, scuba diving, snorkeling in the pass, fishing…

We will book those of your choice and we’ll be there to give you a ride by car for every departure.
All operators offer departures directly from Tiputa quay or Tiputa’s marina.

 

Ile aux Recifes

In this unique place, corals has been pushed above the surface.

Wind and sea have worked through century to shape this amazing landscape made of sculptures and natural pools.

Something special you can only find in Rangiroa.

Lagon Bleu

Surrounded by pink beaches and coconut trees, this “lagoon into a lagoon” is an explosion of life and colors. Black tip baby sharks swim in the turquoises shallow waters while the ocean breaks just behind the barrier reef.

Diving

From beginners to the most experienced divers this is a MUST DO in Rangiroa! The Tiputa passe is worldwide known as one the best diving spots on earth… and you’re just about to confirm it!

Snorkeling

Not willing to dive? No problem! We will organize for you a snorkeling trip to enjoy the beautiful “Aquarium” inside the pass, where a series of panels will guide you at the discover of this incredible ecosystem. With in-going current, you can taste the emotion of a “descent de passe”, just dive and the current will bring you inside the atoll, with a support boat following you for total safety.

 

Discover Tiputa

Kilometers of nice roads from the famous Tiputa’s Passe to the remoteness of the “motu”.

With the included brand new bikes, or renting an ebike, you can ride at your own pace, just a snack for lunch, solar cream, mask and fins, to discover this unspoiled side of Rangiroa in total safety and absolute relax. Tables and benches are conveniently installed in the most beautiful spot, and you’ll likely meet some local family enjoying the beaches or fishing.

See the dolphins

At a short bike ride from Moana Breeze Ecolodge there’s a daily show tuned with the breath of the Oceans, the tides. The bottle-noose dolphins playing in the waves!
Tiputa pass is the only place in the Tuamotu where a resident group of dolphins lives all year round, taking benefit from the nutriments brought by the tide.
